Marktmozaïek - Utrecht
Together with French artist Anne-Xûan Llanes and Dutch artist Jennifer Tee, I developed and visualized a design proposal for the Vredenburgplein market square in Utrecht (NL). Objects and products from the market are illustrated on the market-floor in the form of big mosaics from colourful, 9 x 9cm granite stones to combine the modern functionality of the place with the Roman history of the city of Utrecht. After winning the design competition, I helped finalising the proposal to become a final design and translating the digital designs in to technical drawings for the construction of the square. The result is a 40 x 80m big granite mosaic in the centre of Utrecht.
